Dr. Paul Frazier, Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Dr. Paul Frazier has received a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, a Master's in Educational Mid-Management, a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University. He currently serves as the Vice Chancellor for Anti-Racism, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Southern Illinois University, served as the inaugural Chief Diversity Officer at the University of South Alabama, and as the Associate Vice President of the Division of Institutional Diversity, Equity, and Community Engagement at Texas Tech University. He has taught as an adjunct instructor at Texas Tech University and as a faculty member at Southern Illinois University, teaching undergraduate and graduate-level education courses. He served in public education for 24 years as the Executive Director of Student Administrative Services, a high school principal, middle school assistant principal, and alternative school assistant principal. He has also taught History and English at high and middle school levels and coached several high school sports.
Dr. Frazier has served on various civic and community boards. He is currently the President of the Mu Kappa Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. He serves on the Patient and Family Advisory Committee for Southern Illinois Hospital, the Boys and Girls Club of America for Southern Illinois, and the Carbondale Community Cabinet for Children and Youth. He served on the St. Louis Region Girls Scout Board, served as the Region 1 Disportionality Texas Statewide Representative for Child Protective Services, was a board member of the Lubbock American Diabetes Association, served as a member of the Texas Association of School Administrators and Texas Alliance of Black School Educators, was a board member for the Lubbock ISD Athletic Hall of Honor and served on the Athletics Diversity and Outreach Advisory Council for Texas Tech University and the Texas Tech University Diversity Council, member of Texas Association of Chicanos, a member of the Texas Diversity Council, a member of the Black Faculty and Staff Association at Texas Tech, a member of the Chinese Faculty and Staff, serves as the treasurer of the Latino/ Hispanic Faculty and Staff, served on the Ethics Advisory Board at Texas Tech, Texas Tech Greek Life Advisory Council, and the International Affairs Council. Was a member of the 100 Black Men of West Texas and the Greater Mobile Area.
